By | Events | No Comments

With so many expats unable to leave Vietnam over the coming Summer Vacation, the Eastern & Oriental Tea House & Coffee Parlour will host Summer Sessions – workshops for adults & children  in a range of arts, crafts, hobbies & interests. In nearly all cases, we can provide the use of our facilities for free, in order to keep the cost of workshops affordable & accessible. You can teach just about anything, from Fashion Design to Crochet; or perhaps you want to run a club, like a book club or a board games club; maybe you’d like to offer a support group. We’re open to any ideas that are fun, educational & inclusive. If you’re interested in leading a workshop or club/group, please register your interest here

Save the Sao La Acryllic Painting Workshop

By | Events | No Comments

Experienced art teacher Alina Razghonova taught participants how to paint Vietnam’s critically endangered miniature antelope, the Sao La. This was a free workshop hosted by the Eastern & Oriental Tea House & Coffee Parlour, proudly presented by Virico & supporting the native flora & fauna of the Hue region of Central Vietnam. In order to prevent the extinction of the Sao La, Virico is working with forest-dwelling tribes in the Hue hinterland to develop alternative and sustainable sources of income via the Hue Essential Hub so that people do not need to turn to wild animals as a source of food. Many of the products produced by the Hue Essential Hub are available at Emporium Hanoi – 39 Xuan Dieu St, Tay Ho & inside the Intercontinental Hotel, Westlake, Hanoi.
